Guguan Hot Springs/Recreation Area: Located in the Bo’ai Village of Heping District of Taichung City, the hot springs in Guguan were first discovered by the Atayal Tribe back in 1907, and have been well renowned since the days of Japanese colonization. These carbonic acid springs are mild, with a temperature about 48 degrees Celsius, and hence perfect for spa lovers. Surrounded by clear creeks and dense forestry, visitors can go camping, swimming, fishing, or simply enjoy the scenery along the trails.

Dadu Mountain: Day or night, there is plenty to see and do along Dadu Mountain, from long park strolls, shopping at eclectic combinations of little shops, eating and drinking at restaurants and cafes, to simply enjoying the scenic views of Taichung city and the coastline. Some well known attraction spots along the Dadu Mountain includes the mysterious Old Dong Hai Fort at Viewpoint Hut from Japanese colonial times, the national heritage site Ta Du Wan-Chang Temple from the Ching Dynasty, as well as the favorite photo spot for weddings - Dong Hai University. |

Gaomei Wetlands: Gaowei Wetlands, the famous bird watching spot in Taichung, covers 3.5 kilometers of coast around the Dajia River estuary in Qingshui. The lush wetland ecosystems include tide pools, marshes, sandbanks, gravel, and mud pools. The different geological formations spawn many bio-resources, making it a precious ecological habitat. During dusk, it is especially gorgeous to sit on the embankment and watch the reflected sunset, embellished by strolling birds. |

Taichung Port Wuqi Tourist Fish Market: An ideal destination for seafood and seaside leisure activities in central Taiwan, tourist spots in the Wuqi Fishing harbor district are conveniently connected to an easily accessible route. It offers scenic views of the fishing harbor while encompasses a wharf designed for leisure purposes. Donghai Farm: Donghai Farm - an experimental farm of Donghai University - is the perfect place for sitting on green meadows and enjoying the warm sunshine. At the farm, you may find children running around and having fun, while to-be-wed couples pose in front of the well-known church. When you see the cows grazing on the grassland, don’t be afraid to reach out your hand to have a closer contact with them. |
